Hello…
I am a self-taught artist and my source of inspiration is often in the things people say. Those phrases often become the titles for my work, and life events often make up the subjects and “soul” of the art.
Human social issues find their way into the lives of the dog people in ARF & Soul. In my Junkyard Birds series, I expand on themes such as recycling, pollution and waste management. All the materials used to create these birds were found during my dog walks and within one mile from my home or studio.
Whether through pen and ink or mixed media, I enjoy the journey of creating new characters and sharing their stories. My dogs Gus, Spek, Dot and Stuart inspire me daily.
